Who we are

Two people, one heart and a great love for animals and people, in nature together

Orlando and Cornelia Guidetti, husband and wife who share the same passion for horses.

For Orlando, the experience with horses began years ago, approaching the horse with a more academic approach oriented more towards studying and understanding ethology to understand the communication that the horse adopts with its peers and its natural behavior that relates it to the environment that surrounds it. This path led him to fall more and more in love with this wonderful animal, and to want to learn their language, which over time allowed him to communicate with this particular animal.

During his journey he discovered that, in the way of communicating and in the way of living of horses, lies do not exist, as communication occurs very quickly. In addition to the use of body language, the horse communicates in a mental way, Orlando states that it could even be defined as a communication on a spiritual level, in fact he describes the horse as the only animal capable of seeing our soul and perceiving our emotional states, our most hidden fears and our psychological blocks.

In his description of horses Orlando describes this animal in a very concrete way, << Today the horse seen with my eyes, I can say that it is the way to understand the essence of life, in the most complete way of the term, he teaches us the meaning of mental and physical freedom, the relationship with the environment and with other living beings.

Even though he is an animal by nature prey, the complete opposite of us who are natural predators, he has the ability to trigger simple strategies to survive, maintaining a balanced mental state with the surrounding environment.

The speed of communication of the horse is unmatched, this is one of the major obstacles for us humans in communicating with this kind of animal. Humans have the need to understand and elaborate and formulate the response, while in the horse the response is instinctive >>.

Orlando during his training, having had the opportunity to personally meet Sergio Matteoni, a well-known top-level Parelli Horsemanship instructor, and being able to know the quality and results that are obtained with this method, with much commitment and dedication he applied himself to the study, therefore in a respectful way for the horse he had the opportunity to grow, learn and apply the Parelli techniques in training horses.

The Parelli Natural Horsemanship method is constantly evolving, therefore Orlando's activity is and remains the in-depth study of all the techniques.

So Orlando states that, << My success in training and working with horses is mainly based on mental connection and communication, seeking deep trust in the horse with which I find myself working, both on the ground and in the saddle, when a relationship linked to mental connection is established, security and trust are instilled in the horse, and it is then that nothing impossible exists >>.

Cornelia, on the other hand, began her journey with a passion for horses as a teenager in her home canton of Grisons. She began to practice horse riding at an amateur level at the age of fourteen, with a beautiful three-year-old unbroken Arabian mare, “Nadia”, owned by a farmer who, given her age, was no longer able to ride, so Cornelia, through a trust agreement, took care of the mare on a daily basis.

During this period, Cornelia met Joana, a veterinary student who also had a beautiful white Arabian-Lipizzan mare. Seeing Cornelia in difficulty with this dark-haired mare of hers in trust, she took care of teaching her horse riding, and so the collaborative relationship gave birth to an inseparable bond of friendship, to the point that Cornelia says that; << Everything I have undertaken in the world of horses I owe to her, to Joana and her mare “Omega” who lived to be 35 years old >>, the two friends who have now become accomplices have had the opportunity to carry out horse riding activities, with endless rides, even in the moonlight, in a Valley where at the time activities with horses were practically non-existent.

While “Nadia” the dream mare that Cornelia took care of, continued to be a challenge to stay in the saddle, since as soon as she could she would start galloping and buck, unseating Cornelia who remembers; << I was made and bones there but I allowed my passion to get the upper hand, and I went on >>.

Cornelia and Joana, accompanied by the farmer who owned “Nadia”, had the opportunity to go to the Federal Agroscope center in Avanches, where the farmer purchased a Freiberger mare “Züsi” from the Swiss Army, to begin the process of breeding mules to supply to the army.

Thus, an army donkey “Zecchino” was also rented, Stallion that was transported to Poschiavo in the Grisons.

A year later “Züsi” gave birth to a wonderful mule “Zorro” very balanced.

From that moment began Cornelia’s path, linked to the taming of mules for the Swiss Army.

Given the strong passion and the skills acquired, Cornelia after a few years decided to undertake horse riding turning it into her profession. She moved to Basel Country in Binnigen in a huge stable where the discipline of the hurdles was practiced, but after a few months of training she understood that the jump was not what she was looking for so she moved again for a year to the south of Germany, to Isfeld Helfenberg a fantastic village in the middle of the vineyards and the countryside of Baden Wütterberg. There she had the opportunity to work again with Arabian horses, and Quarter Horses for Reining that were directly imported from Texas, and sold in Europe.

Cornelia remembers those moments with warmth, where her job was to move the horses daily. The Quarter Horses in the working field, and the Arabian Thoroughbreds in the open countryside.

Cornelia then had to suspend her equestrian activity for a few years, to dedicate herself to the growth of her son, but without ever stopping studying horses and their behavior.

Later she had the opportunity to learn and practice the innovative method called Chi-horseing which describes a way of treating horses with the opportunity for personal development, allowing conscious and always peaceful communication through learning body language, horse psychology and understanding our individual energetic charisma, obtaining excellent results.

The meeting and marriage with Orlando, has fueled and strongly united an unshakeable passion between the two, creating a synergic relationship between the couple and the horses with which they come into contact, so much so that they work together on horses, without any limit of success, dealing with breeding, taming and training, also helping people to approach this enchanting world linked to life and human, animal and natural relationships.

Today with the EdenEquiBovine project, it is the materialization of a careful and meticulously evaluated study, referring to the needs and experience of the need to disseminate knowledge linked to the relationship between human beings and animals in full respect of the natural ecosystem, showing and making known nature and its connections as never seen before.

More and more people, of all ages and genders, are getting closer to nature and in particular to animals, a growing number do so through the horse, which by its nature is the mirror of those in front of it, and is able to convey our energies, our thoughts and moods, following a unique path of its kind, making us enter phases of introspection and making us feel part of something, that something is us in a total fusion with the nature that surrounds us, leading us to rediscover the values and bonds that in the frenetic evolution have fallen asleep and some have been forgotten.

The EdenEquiBovine project wants to be a path that aims to become a pilot project to grow and expand without borders, there will be many activities proposed, in which everyone can participate, which will serve to save and improve by rediscovering life with animals and nature, making people who want to try this indescribable experience more responsible and happy, contributing to protecting the environment and the animals that populate it, including human beings.

In riding a horse, we borrow freedom.
