Western Experience
A one-of-a-kind experience that lets us relive ancient traditions and customs, in which everyone can participate, seizing the unique and rare opportunity to be a Bukaroo, who lives in contact with animals and wild nature.

Transhumance in Californian Mountain
The Western Experience represents a return to the roots of equestrian tradition with the reintroduction of California riding, a refined riding technique historically linked to the management of livestock in the lands of the American West. This ambitious project aims to restore the ancient practice of livestock transhumance, guiding herds of cattle to the Swiss mountain pastures with the help of expert riders, without the use of motorized vehicles, in harmony with the environment and animal welfare.
An Authentic and Immersive Experience
Transhumance, an essential element of rural culture, is here presented in an authentic way, with participants riding horses trained according to the principles of Californian riding, accompanying the herds along ancient mountain paths. The entire trip will be planned according to the needs of the breeders, ensuring precise organization and optimal management of the livestock.
Project Objectives
-
Valorization of traditional equestrian culture: recovering a historical custom and transmitting it to new generations.
-
Environmental sustainability: eliminating the use of motor vehicles, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and fossil fuel consumption.
-
Animal welfare: ensuring a less stressful and more natural method of transport for cattle, respecting their instincts and needs.
-
Land protection: promoting sustainable management of Alpine pastures, contributing to the conservation of biodiversity.

A Unique Experience for Riders and Breeders
This initiative represents an extraordinary opportunity for all horse riding enthusiasts who wish to live an experience immersive in the world of transhumance.
The Western Experience offers not only a horseback adventure, but also a deep connection with nature and local traditions, while promoting a respectful and sustainable approach to livestock management.
The organization of each transhumance will be adapted to the specific needs of the breeders, ensuring a tailor-made experience that combines tradition, horsemanship and respect for the environment.
Participation and Training
To ensure the safety and quality of the experience, only those who have followed a training course in Californian riding at the EdenEquiBovine association and passed the final exam with the required score will be able to actively take part in the transhumance. This selection ensures that each rider has the necessary skills to manage the cattle and face the challenges of the course.
